  • ICOA Mike Economic Outlook July 27, 2022

Members, I just wanted to drop a quick note on a few of my thoughts on what is happening in the economy and offer a little guidance. Inflation is at its highest level since 1981. We have seen a huge increase in energy…

lvic-phil-town-graphicPhil Town Rule 1 Workshops – The club will also have several important announcements including the next several Rule 1 workshops.  Phil Town provides a 3-day intensive stock-trading course.  There is no fee to attend for members and the few dozen club members that have attended over the last few years have given it glowing reviews. In fact several members have attended 2 or more times. Phil does not charge nor is anything sold – at the event. One of Phil’s key drives is to create an ‘army’ of investors who follow his techniques and he asks only that any graduate forward a stock that fits his criteria – to him. This helps him with his own research and is a big part of his motivation.

The 2016 Las Vegas ‘Freedomfest’ was a huge success for the club.  We had 42 attendees in the room when a club board member spoke at a breakout session.  At the end of the presentation (of one hour) 16 out of the 42 attendees joined the club – on the spot.

We welcome them to the club!!

(Incidentally, some of the 42 in there room were couples and so – over 50% of the room made a positive decision related to joining) This truly shows the interest in the Las Vegas Investment Club by those who are introduced to it.

The LVIC 2-day Econosummit is scheduled for Feb 25 and 26, 2017 and Bill Strauss & Mark Skousen will be our featured speakers. Arguably two of the most prominent economists on the planet – both Bill and Mark have a strong connection with the club and have spoken at club meetings in the past. We appreciate the support of these two gentlemen and look forward to deepening our strong relationship with both.

For our out of town members – meetings are filmed and forwarded (as soon as is possible).

The September 20th, club meeting will be open to your guests
Please invite a friend to come to the meeting as we are hoping, over the next 12 months, to double our club membership.

Finally we keep membership fees very low and we are almost at a point where the membership fees cover the cost of running the club. (To date the board members have made up the difference) We ask that members bring guests with this in mind and also those whose fees are in arrears come prepared to pay their annual dues at this meeting. Bob (our administrator) will send you a separate email prior to the club meeting.
